SMS consent

Purchase receipts from Sell On Hand · Data Day Studio

Sell On Hand is inventory and checkout software for independent vendors at markets, fairs, parties, and pop-ups. This page documents the only way a shopper consents to a purchase-receipt text from our number.

Where shoppers opt in

Consent is collected at checkout on a vendor's public page. It is not behind a login. A live example is sellonhand.com/demo: add any item to the cart, then look at the Receipt section in the checkout panel.

  1. Open a vendor checkout (example: sellonhand.com/demo).
  2. Add any item to the cart.
  3. Under Receipt, choose Text me a receipt.
  4. Type your own mobile number.
  5. Check the box below. It is unchecked by default. Checking it is optional; a purchase can complete without it.

Only a shopper who checks that box and types their own number is texted. We do not text imported lists, typed-in contacts, or paper sign-up forms from this number.

This is the same control and wording shown at checkout. It is a replica so reviewers do not have to complete a purchase.

Receipt

What the text says

One transactional receipt after that purchase. Example: "Sell On Hand: Receipt from [Vendor Name]. Total $[Amount]. Paid by Card. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

  • Frequency: typically one message per completed purchase. No recurring campaign on this program.
  • Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.
